As our bags are made, each one by hand to follow a precise design that has been tested for longevity and a timeless aesthetic, hides of leather are developed the same. A hand-done process, veg tanned leather is the result of a multi-step work of art (see our previous blog posts to learn more about this incredible process!). After devout research and prototype testing, we are thrilled with the partnership we have developed with Conceria Walpier, an Italian Tannery located in Tuscany. Buttero, the leather we use to construct The Jane, is quite unique in its characteristics including a stiffness that gives a nice rigidity to projects. This is their top grade full grain leather and it is made in double shoulders which indicates that it is a completely usable hide, meaning less waste! 
The Jane design launched last year in a black and neutral tan color. It is blooming in a new pop of color Friday, March 3rd. The Jane is a minimalist design with a full leather construction, adjustable strap, press release button, and a discrete posterior pocket fit for a phone or small wallet.
