The Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources

The Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources

We are honored to announce our partnership with The Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources in the curation of their very own outdoors bags! We’ve worked together over the passed several months to curate a line that is made to withstand Virginia hiking trails, fishing trips, and hunting excursions. We swapped out our signature details to keep these styles adaptable to the outdoors. Each bag is outfitted with webbing straps, handles, and cotton cord to ensure weather and water resistance. And of course, our durable + sturdy signature waxed canvas, made for adventure.

The Department of Wildlife Resources (DWR) is responsible for the management of inland fisheries, wildlife, and recreational boating for the Commonwealth of Virginia. They are leading wildlife conservation and inspiring people to value the outdoors and their role in nature. With a mission to conserve, connect, and protect:

• Conserve and manage wildlife populations and habitat for the benefit of present and future generations.
• Connect people to Virginia’s outdoors through boating, education, fishing, hunting, trapping, wildlife viewing, and other wildlife-related activities.
• Protect people and property by promoting safe outdoor experiences and managing human-wildlife conflicts.

Values and a mission that we align with completely. Virginia is our home; one that we do not take for granted. Evening fishing in the Lynnhaven River, weekend trips to the trails in The Shenandoah Valley, and surf sessions in The Atlantic - we value the outdoors on a daily. Built on a shared passion for Virginia’s wildlife and wild places, this collaboration is a dream of ours come true. All proceeds from this release are used to fund VDWR Grant Initiatives.

Launching September 17 at 12:00 PM EST at https://dwr.virginia.gov/shopdwr/

Then the more you lose focus due to depression, the harder and more pointless it all seems. You get stuck in that loop. Similarly, anxiety and depression are linked. If it feels like you’re not getting enough done due to loss of concentration, then you can get anxious, which makes it even harder to concentrate.

Pressure turns into stress when you feel unable to cope. People have different ways of reacting to stress, so a situation that feels stressful to one person may be motivating to someone else. Many of life’s demands can cause stress, particularly work, relationships and money problems. And, when you feel stressed, it can get in the way of sorting out these demands, or can even affect everything you do.

A general rule is to aim to burn 400 to 500 calories, five days a week during your workouts. Remember, the number of calories you burn in a workout depends on your weight, sex, age and many other factors, but this number is a good starting place.

Infusing diet with vitamins and minerals will provide your body with the natural building blocks it needs to stay healthy and help protect your vision. Vitamins A, C and E, along with the mineral Zinc, help to prevent your eyes from developing a condition where the macula (the part of your eye that controls central vision) deteriorates. You can find these vitamins and minerals in foods like carrots, broccoli, spinach, strawberries, sweet potato, citrus fruits, and foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids, like salmon. These vitamins and minerals, along with a healthy consumption of antioxidants, will also help to protect your retinas (the light-sensitive tissue that lines the back of your eyes).
